Consultation
Perhaps the most important part of our job is the consultation. Describing lighting effects and moods can be daunting especially when the landscape has not even been planted. Gardens grow and mature over time, obvious initial solutions may not satisfy once the garden matures. Therefore, a more eclectic approach is needed. planning not only for the here and now but also for the future. That makes our solutions flexible, leaving you to sit back and enjoy.
Each garden is unique and therefore each presents unique challenges. Together with the owner we consult on the different areas of the garden and their specific planned purposes. Often, use of time lapse cameras will heighten the issues that each garden faces. Too much lighting can be as bad as too little. We understand how natural light changes throughout the day; so that when evening falls, flat and uninteresting areas can be made more appealing while natural focal points in the landscape are enhanced.
Consultation then, is where it all begins and it continues throughout the process; a constant flow back and forth of information and emotions. We have learnt that continued communication is key to the design process, we invite you to become a part of it.
